Characteristics: A special belt with several pockets serving different functions.

1: First Aid Kit (Some anti-bacterial lotion and Gause)

2: Personal Grapple Hook (Total length at 150m. Has enough power to lift one person, cable strength for two. Has to be manually thrown)

3: Emergency Food Rations (Several sticks of dried meat)

4: Miniature Welding Torch (Cause you never know)

5: GPS Uplink (When activated, sends Alex's current location within two kilometers to the Ascalon. When this is activated, it turns on a light that flashes constantly. To hide this, Alex has placed this slightly behind his right leg)

History: Shortly after their takeover of the Ascalon, the Utility belts were issued by Alex as the basic saftey measure for all crewmen. However, there were only five GPS locators, so they were issued to the top members of the crew. This was decided by crew concensus. All belts carry the same equipment, save for the welding torch. The item placed there is of personal choice.
