Roland Deschain's Revolvers

Name: Sandalwood-Grip Revolvers

Looks: These two revolvers have the distinct appearance of a long-gone age. They are remarkably well-preserved though, and if one examined them they would see the remarkable technology hidden within the handguns. They have well-worn sandalwood grips on both, and the barrels of the weapon are interchangeable, allowing him to change the caliber to fit certain situations. Each round barrel, regardless of size, has a hidden blade in the circle, and with the simple click of a button (on the upper edge of the bottom of the gun) the blade will be lengthened from it's sheath. These guns are a sign of Roland's long-past royalty, of his noble blood. They have a large, ornate 'D' (for Deschain) on the right and left sides of the right and left gun, respectively. And many peoples across the land see them for what they are.

Simply Effective: The guns aren't over-the-top fancy. They are just all-around well made, with excellent durability and accuracy.


History: Roland carries two of the gun's that were passed down in his former country of Gilead before it's fall. They are amazingly well-built, having been made by the 'old-people' as Roland refers to them. These guns, specifically, are Royal Family weapons, that is to say, specially saved guns for those with Royal blood in their veins. These weapons have seen much strife, and even more blood.

Now that Gilead has fallen, these guns are two of the very last remaining of it's kind. Roland has used them as he willed for the past 12 years or so, traveling much in this time. The guns have begun to be seen as a sort of symbol of the old-times by many of the people he has met. He is the last of his kind, wielding these ancient, and powerful weapons. He is, a gunslinger.
